Disney Cruise Line ships have been docked since March when the Coronavirus pandemic began and sail dates continue to be pushed back as the cruise industry finalizes their return to sail plans and protocols. Currently, guests with sailings booked through December 2020 have been issued cancellation notices with options for refunds and rebooking credits. DCL cancellation policies, final payment and fee schedules continue to be extremely flexible. For sailings through March 2021, final payment is temporarily extended until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted stateroom categories which is a change from the typical 90 to 120 day policy. For sailings through March 2021, the cancellation schedule remains to be 59 days prior to sailing as well for guests booked in non-suite and non-concierge categories, making booking your cruise less of a financial risk. Additionally, Disney has relaxed their change policies so that guests scheduled to sail on or before May 31, 2021 can change their sail dates without penalty up to 15 days prior to embarkation. No word yet on whether or not these flexible policies will remain for 2022 sailings, but with typical change and cancellation policies possible up to final payment, those dates are still far away enough that it will not be a concern for new sailings for quite some time.
