Disney 100: The Exhibition Announced
It was announced that Disney is launching Disney 100 Years of Wonder, at Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute, beginning February 18, 2023. This exhibition is announced to be stopping in Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, and Munich, Germany so far. More cities are expected to be announced as dates grow closer.
The Disney100 Exhibition will celebrate 100 years of wonder with immersive adventures, inspiring worlds, and magical artifacts-including Disney’s “Crown Jewels” – more than 250 rarely-seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia. New Disney Merch Line Released
On D23 live, they announced the release of an exclusive new merch line. In the Main Street Bakery after hours, some Pixie Dust was accidentally spilled into some flour. Thus, Munchlings were born! These adorable, scented plush pals marry some of our favorite characters to delicious treats! Collections currently include baked, sweet and frozen treats, with plans to expand. These are available now at the D23 Expo, as well as on ShopDisney now! Starting Monday, September 12th, they will be available in Disneyland parks, and at Walt Disney World parks later this month.
More TV and Movie Announcements
The Mandalorian, just released teaser trailer for season 3. Season 3 is set to air in February, 2023. You can watch the trailer here.
Lucasfilm also released the official trailer for the new animated series, Tales of the Jedi. This 6 episode mini-series will feature different Jedi from the prequel era, such as Qui-Gon Jinn, Count Dooku, and Ahsoka Tano. Streaming begins October 26th.
Star Wars: Ahsoka is an upcoming series to Disney+. No trailers or videos were released at this time, but it is set to release on Disney+ in 2023.
Star Wars: Andor’s final trailer was released. The series will debut with a three-episode premeire on September 21st of this year. In this series, Cassian embarks on an adventure, where he will become a Rebel hero.
The 1988 film, Willow is finally getting a sequel. This sequel is in the form of a series on Disney+, streaming on November 30th this year. Check out the official trailer here.
The new Indiana Jones movie got a little bit of love at the D23 Expo. We saw some of the costumes on the floor of the Expo, but attendees also got to see a teaser trailer for the film. This trailer has not yet been made public. The still unnamed film, the 5th in the series, is set to hit theaters June 30th, 2023.
Marvel Studios released a trailer for their new series, Secret Invasion. The series is slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2023, starring Samuel L. Jackson.
Marvel released a trailer for its new special, Werewolf by Night. This Halloween Special will debut October 7th of this year, on Disney+.
New series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, was announced. This show is just starting production, and we have no release date yet. This series will center around a group of children lost in space, and be set in the New Republic.
Season 2 of Magic of Animal Kingdom, partnered with National Geographic, is set to release soon. We got some sneak peak clips, as we got to talk to Dr. Jen, Dr. Geoff and Rain. We don’t have a release date yet.
New series of shorts, named Marvel’s Midnight Suns, released a teaser trailer today. This series will debut, starting October 31st. This series of shorts is based on a new game, set to release later this year.
The release date for the second season of Star Wars: Bad Batch was officially pushed back To January 4th, 2023. The series second season was originally set to start streaming this month.
