We’re 4 days away from being able to book Universal Epic Universe vacations! It’s time to take another deep dive into one of the worlds coming to this epic new park. Today, let’s take a look at what we know so far about Super Nintendo World.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, so knowing that it’s going to be even bigger and offer more attractions in Orlando has me super excited.

What We Know About the Story

Super Nintendo World in Universal Epic Universe takes us inside the Mushroom Kingdom in Super Mario Land AND into Donkey Kong Country. The games that we millennials and Gen Xers grew up playing now come to life as we get to live out our video game dreams.
In this world, we are a part of the game – from breaking ? boxes, playing in challenges, riding in our very own Mario Karts, and ultimately playing the Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown.
What We Know About What We’ll See

Once you walk through that famous green pipe, you are absolutely transported to another world. Character meet and greets will be a popular experience in Orlando, just like in Hollywood. On my recent visit to Universal Studios Hollywood, I had the pleasure of meeting Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. These same meet ands greet opportunities will be present in Orlando.
What We Know About What What We’ll Eat

Toadstool Cafe will be the featured dining option in Super Mario Land, featuring a menu of burgers, meatballs, chicken sandwiches, mushroom soup, and more. I ate at Toadstool Cafe in Hollywood, and the burger from the kids menu was a solid quick service option. It even came with fresh steamed broccoli, a surprising option for a theme park meal.

What We Know About What We’ll Experience

The headlining attraction of Super Mario Land is Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. This ride puts you right in the middle of the game, as you drive your kart based on the prompts that show up in your visor screen. You’ll be shooting banana peels, turtle shells, and even driving on Rainbow Road.

Yoshi’s Adventure makes its debut in North America, sending families on a quest for glowing eggs.

Key challenges are interactive experiences that you’ll find throughout the land, testing your skill to unlock keys on your Power-Up Band. Once you unlock three keys, you’ll be able to enter Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown and fight for the golden mushroom.

Mine Cart Madness in Donkey Kong Country is the attraction I’m most looking forward to. Using first-of-its-kind technology developed by Universal, the ride will mimic the moves we’ve seen the carts do in the Donkey Kong games. This ride has been described as in between a family coaster and a thrill coaster, so this will be a great option for those older kids and tweens.
There’s so much to look forward to at Universal Epic Universe, and the combination of Super Mario and Donkey Kong in one Super Nintendo Land is going to be epic! Contact your Kingdom and Cruise Travel Agent to plan your Universal Epic Universe vacation today!
