What is Memory Maker, you ask? With Memory Maker, guests at Walt Disney World can enjoy unlimited digital access to all their Disney PhotoPass photos captured at hundreds of locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort—including select attraction and dining locations. The photos are connected to your My Disney Experience Account where they are available for download. The service can be purchased prior to your trip for $169, or for $199 within 3 days of your trip. We MousekeMoms always use Memory Maker. PhotoPass photographers always seem to be able to get the perfect, iconic shot, whether in front of Cinderella Castle or with Mickey himself. Plus, MousekeMoms can actually be in the photos instead of just taking them. Naturally, were very excited to report to you that there is a new Memory Maker promotion at Disney.
So, what’s this big promo? As always, we will be able to download unlimited Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from our vacation. With the promotion, when we activate the Memory Maker purchase any time from today through May 19, 2021, we can download all Disney PhotoPass photos and videos captured through June 18, 2021, at no extra cost (rather than the standard 30-day window).
So What Would Juliana Do About the New Memory Maker Promotion at Disney?
Wait, what does any of this even mean for us? Not much. Essentially, pricing remains the same, but this new Memory Maker promotion at Disney does benefit those planning more than one visit to the parks by June 2021. So, if you’re going to Disney in February, for example, you can activate your Memory Maker during that trip. Normally, you would have access to download all photos taken within 30 days of that activation, even if you take more than one trip to Disney in that 30 days. But most of us will only ever take one trip within a 30 day window. With this promotion however, we will have access to download all photos taken through June 18, 2021 from that February activation. But that still means only one trip for most people, right? How many of us get to take multiple Disney vacations in a 6 month period?
Bottom line: I’m not seeing a huge benefit here. This promotion doesn’t save the consumer anything. It’s seems like it’s just a way to persuade guests to return to Disney by June so they can take advantage of the benefit. So, What Would Juliana Do? It’s a no brainer. Purchase Memory Maker. And use it as an excuse to take the second trip.
