Goodbye 2020 and Hello 2021, Park Hopping is back!
Since opening back up after the Covid closure, Walt Disney World has not allowed Park Hopping, until now. As of January 1st, 2021 Park Hopper tickets are available for purchase, and Annual Passholders are allowed once again to go to more than one park per day! 2021 is better already!
There are new rules for 2021 Park Hopping. I, of course, had to experience it myself and on January 2nd, my oldest son and I went from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom. Here are a few of the new rules:
A few of these rules to point out. You must enter the first park that you have the park reservation for. The park that you are hopping to needs to have availability. A big plus, is you can park hop to multiple parks, not just one, and you can go back to your first park!
We walked out of Animal Kingdom and walked to the busses, looking for the one labeled “Magic Kingdom”
In most cases Cast Members are there to confirm that you have a Hopper ticket, and that the park is available to hop to. We loaded the bus and were off to Magic Kingdom. Entering the park was just like prior years.
Currently there is no option to check on My Disney Experience to see what parks are available, but we were able to get a phone number to call: (407) 560-5000 and you will hear an automated message. I did hear from a Cast Member though that they will be updating My Disney Experience soon.
We are all ready for some sense of normalcy, and Park Hopping is getting us there. This is also a huge plus for Annual Passholders, who have long been missing this advantage that has been built into their price.
So welcome back Park Hopping, here’s to 4 parks in a day! Plan your 2021 trip today!
