Here are TEN reasons to attend Mickey’s-Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2024!
1. More Villain Sightings in 2024
This is what the night is all about. We want MORE of our favorite villains and Disney is delivering! Throughout the party, you will bump into the most sinister of Disney characters like Cruella, Jafar, Maleficent and more. Get in line to snag a selfie with them if you dare! And while NOT a villain, you will find a NEW character sighting for this party. Here’s a hint – “We don’t talk about” him.
2. Mickey’s Boo to You Parade
Disney will be holding two parades, one slightly early this year at 8:15 for those bringing little ones, and one later at 11:15. The event parade features some of our favorite Disney characters in costume, like Minnie, Clarabelle and Daisy as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. You will even find your friends from the Haunted Mansion like hitchhiking ghosts and a spectral bride! It promises to be the highlight of the night complete with spooky music and dancing dastardly villains.
3. Attractions with a Frightful Flair
Experience even more spooky aspects of Mickey’s No-So-Scary Halloween Party on certain rides and attractions that have special effects and theming! You can take a ride on Space Mountain in pitch darkness while listening to spooky tunes. The Mad Tea Party will feature special lighting to create a unique ambiance, and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor will be packed with Halloween themed jokes!
4. Trick or Treating!
Grab your treat bag and get ready to scoop up some of your favorite sweet treats at several locations throughout the park! Skittles, Snickers, M&Ms … It’s Halloween! Of course Disney will have the goodies ready for guests, whether you come in costume or not! Teal treat bags will be available for guests with food allergies!
5. Special Food Offerings
If you didn’t fill up on the free candy, these Halloween-themed food creations available for purchase can be found at select quick service restaurants throughout the park. Expect to find specialty main courses, desserts and beverages! There are always new selections, but some are returning favorites like the Bowl of Bones at Pecos Bill features bone-in piggy wings and jalepenos.
6. Hocus Pocus Villain Spell-tacular
This is a stage show like no other! The Sanderson Sisters host this wickedly fun entertainment on the Cinderella Caste stage several times a night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The show will feature dancing, singing, castle projections and appearances from some favorite characters like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent.
7. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Do not miss the Halloween-themed fireworks display at 10pm during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas, this fireworks show will have you spellbound with its haunted house tale. Make sure you can see the castle projections from your spot!
8. Live Entertainment Throughout the Magic Kingdom
Disney doesn’t miss a beat. A real live band or DJ beat, that is. The entertainment doesn’t just happen at Cinderella’s Castle during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. New for this year at the Tomorrowland Stage, head over for the DescenDANCE party inspired by the new movie, Descendants: The Rise of Red. You can also find your favorite Disney Junior Pals jamming out at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Check out the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet in Frontierland or listen to Rusty Cut Glass, a pirate band providing entertainment in Adventureland.
9. Not-So-Scary Memories
Be sure to stop at as many photo-op spots as you can! Not only will Disney photographers capture your spooky moments with your favorite villains and characters with Halloween decor as the backdrop, they will also add some magical touches to your photos! Check your photos in the app for some surprises like dancing skeletons or the grim grinning ghosts from the Haunted Mansion!
