Like everything else this year, Holidays at Walt Disney World will look different this year than years past but fear not the holiday spirit it alive at Walt Disney World!
The Holiday season will take place at Walt Disney World from Nov 6 – Dec 30, 2020. There will be festive décor, special holiday merchandise, seasonal food and beverages, as well as entertainment over all of Walt Disney World.
To start with, at the Magic Kingdom, the appearance of the castle will be transformed with a rotating series of designs including a whimsical Christmas sweater and a regal overlay of red, green and gold ornamentation. And of course, there will be the popular special character cavalcades with Christmas friends on festive floats in their holiday finest. We are also hoping to see Gingerbread Men, Elves and Reindeer, and the Toy Soldiers who will join the Main Street Philharmonic as they march through the Magic Kingdom.
Over at EPCOT, EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays are taking place, it will be scaled down and not starting until Nov 27, but the food options in the kiosks look amazing! IInside World ShowPlace will be the musical group JOYFUL!, who present a journey through R&B, Gospel, contemporary and traditional Christmas and holiday music. Also, the Voices of Liberty will bring their incredible musical stylings to the America Gardens Theatre stage for a special holiday concert.
The ever popular Hollywood Studios Minnie will be sharing her Holiday Cheer at Hollywood and Vine starting Nov 6 which will include Santa Goofy and some of his festive friends!
Animal Kingdom’s floating cavalcades, will also be getting a Holiday Splash on them as well.
Disney Springs will have their Christmas Tree Trail available for Guests, just social distant, with the elaborately decorated trees spread throughout Disney Springs. In the evening, Guests visiting areas within Town Center, West Side and The Landing will encounter a magical snowfall. Of course Jock Lindsey’s will once again become Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar complete with delightful holiday décor and a delicious limited-time menu filled with festive favorites.
The Disney Resorts will be hit with the Holiday cheer as usual, a little scaled down.
Although, the big misses this year will be Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and EPCOT’s Candlight Processional, as you can see there is still plenty of Holiday Cheer at Walt Disney World!
Although Walt Disney World during the holidays will look a bit different this year, we are so excited to see all the festive holiday cheer they have to offer!
