2025 is rapidly approaching, and it’s going to be a great year to visit Walt Disney World! With benefits such as complimentary admission to a waterpark on your arrival day, the Disney Dining Plan being back in full swing, plus all the wonderful additions coming to the parks, 2025 is sure to be a hit. When you’re thinking about your Walt Disney World vacation, it can feel daunting to pick the right resort for your family. Thankfully, you have a team of expert travel advisors at Kingdom and Cruise Travel to help you find the right place for your home away from home. Let’s take a look at the resorts in the Disney Resorts Collection and why you should consider each one. First, we are going to focus on the Value Resort category, and take a tour of Disney’s All Star Movies Resort.
The Theme
The theming at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort is all about Disney Animation. It celebrates lots of classic Disney films, from Pixar hits like Toy Story, all the way to the classic 101 Dalmations. The decor and statues are larger than life, creating a magical experience for the younger crowd. There’s no escaping the fact that you are at Walt Disney World with bright, cheerful decor.
The Rooms
The rooms at this resort are basic, but comfortable. They accommodate four, with a queen-sized bed, and a queen-sized Murphy style bed. The majority of the Value resorts in the Disney Resorts Collection hotels feature Murphy beds that convert from tables and chairs. This is an excellent setup for families who plan to eat breakfast in the room, or if you need a bit more space during the day. The beds fold down easily and quickly and feature real mattresses – no worries about a bar poking you like a fold out couch situation. Disney has solved a space issue, while maintaining comfort!
The Resort Amenities
The resort features two pools, the Fantasia pool, and the Duck Pond pool. Both pools are great places for families to unwind and relax before or after a day at the parks. Families can find recreation team cast members here leading games and activities in the afternoons, giving the grownups a chance to sit and have a drink by the pool!
Near the lobby and Fantasia pool, you’ll find a small playground perfect for getting those wiggles out after a long travel day.
The many statues from different Disney and Pixar films also provide a great place for the kids to explore and play.
You can find schedules of different activities hosted by the resort posted around the grounds. From outdoor movies, to crafts, to pool parties, there is always something fun to do.
The Food
Value resorts in the Disney Resorts Collection feature a food court dining hall where you can order several different types of cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is plenty of seating and it’s very casual. Most locations also offer mobile ordering via the My Disney Experience app, so you can order Mickey-shaped waffles from the comfort of your bed and have them waiting for you by the time you make your way to the food court.
Should You Stay Here?
How do you know if this resort is right for you? If you’re looking for a resort that’s friendly to your wallet, while still staying in the “Disney bubble”, this could be a great option for your family! While the resort is pretty basic as far as amenities go, it’s a solid value option that gives you the benefits of staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
