5 Reasons to Book a Disney World Vacation at Least 6 Months in Advance
1. The Early Bird Gets the Room
It should come as no surprise that Disney resorts sell out. I have to let clients down on a regular basis when they ask me with short notice for a specific resort and room category. Some resorts and rooms are popular because of the bang for the buck. For example, Disney’s Art of Animation Little Mermaid Suites won’t stick around long once they are released. They are the least expensive rooms at that immersive value resort that gets you access to the Skyliner!
Disney’s Contemporary Garden Wing rooms come at a great price for a deluxe resort! You are just minutes on foot OR the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Don’t wait to secure your favorite! Don’t know which resort to choose? That’s where you Kingdom and Cruise Travel Advisor comes in. We are familiar with all of them and can match you with a resort for your preferences and budget.
2. $200 Deposits and Flexible Cancellation Policies
That’s all it takes, friends! We would be “Foolish Mortals” NOT to book a Disney vacation now for next year…just in case! That $200 deposit may save you money in the long run if you’re booking a room category that offers lots of bang for your buck! If things change, you can modify or cancel up to 30 prior to your check in day. It is comforting to know that your deposit has your favorite room on lock, but if you need to shift things, it is possible with no penalty.
3. Promotions Can Be Applied Later
Don’t wait for discounts to book! Disney will drop promotions a few months in advance (for example in October for January – April). Even if you book before discounts are extended, they can be applied retroactively. When you use a Disney Travel Specialist from Kingdom and Cruise Travel, it is part of our job to apply discounts to an eligible package as soon as the discounts are released. If you book on your own, Disney will not send you an email reminding you to modify your reservation to save money. Your Disney Travel Specialist will do that automatically and then inform you of your savings!
4. 2025 Water Park Perks
In case you need another reason to secure a 2025 Walt Disney World vacation now…throughout 2025, guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of their water parks on their check-in day – included with their stay! Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach feature lazy rivers, pools, waterslides and more. Arrive with your bathing suit on and take advantage of this free perk! Read more details about this special offer in our blog post HERE.
5. Disney Planning Takes Time
Perhaps the most important reason to book far in advance is to make sure you are fully prepared to enjoy all the magic and experiences available. Two months prior to check in day, Disney dining and select magical extras become available for booking. Restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table and experiences like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sell out in a matter of minutes once the booking window opens. If you are booking a vacation less than 2 months in advance, availability for your choices might not be available . Some Disney Travel Specialists set alerts to see when bookings become available. However, booking early is always the best way to secure your favorite restaurants.
Are you ready to book? Kingdom and Cruise Travel Disney Specialists are standing by to book your end of 2025 Disney World vacation! Don’t wait. We can help you secure your preferred room and dates now!
