What We Know About How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

There is one more world that we haven’t taken a deep-dive into at Universal Epic Universe, and it’s possibly the most imaginative and unexpected!  Today we are taking a look into what we know about How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk!  The beloved animated films come to life in this fifth and final world at Universal Epic Universe, and I’m excited to learn more about the attractions coming our way!  Interested in other worlds at Epic Universe?  Check out one of them here!

What We Know About the Story

We’ve learned that the Viking village of Berk in Epic Universe puts us between the second and third films in the franchise.  This Isle of Berk is a Viking village settled on top of a mountain, where we’ll feel like we are in the story.  Memorable sites from the movies will be present, including Gobber’s Forge, Hiccup’s House, and the Dragon racing bleachers.  We’ll be immersed in a land where Vikings and dragons live together.

What We Know About What We’ll Experience

The most anticipated attractions in this world are Hiccup’s Wing Gliders and The Untrainable Dragon.  Hiccup’s Wing Gliders is a coaster that puts us in Hiccup’s winged flying machine to soar above Berk.  The Untrainable Dragon is a stage show featuring Toothless flying overhead.  This has me wondering – is this the dragon we’ve seen test flying in videos captured from outside of the park?  Time will tell!

Dragon Racer’s Rally is a thrill attraction featuring new technology to Universal Parks.  We’ll be flying through the air performing aerobatic maneuvers in a Viking-made training contraption.  This one looks pretty intense!

Fyre Drill will be a wet one, as teams on two boats compete to hit 130 targets in Berk’s Fyre Skool, soaking everyone in the process.  This sounds perfect for those scorching central Florida afternoons!

Viking Training Camp is the perfect place for the littles to get those wiggles out!  This themed play structure will be amazing for families.

Mead Hall is the dining hall where we’ll enjoy eating like Vikings, and where we’ll find beer and mead created just for this restaurant!

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is going to be the perfect addition to Universal Epic Universe and we can’t wait to see it!
